Ministries
Core Group
This ministry explores the ministry philosophy and direction of New Covenant as a whole. We discuss, critique, and structure how the ministry should live and grow. Decisions concerning the ministry as a whole are made within this group.
Children's Ministry
The children's ministry of New Convenant is currently finalizing details and recruiting volunteers. We will be launching this ministry soon.
Praise Team
The praise team is responsible for the music and worship ministry at New Convenant. There are ministry opportunities both with instruments and vocals. In addition to the musical aspects, there are also opportunities to serve with a more technical twist; both soundboard/mixing and projection artists are needed. Praise team members gather during the week for practice, Scripture study, prayer and meditation.
Welcoming
The welcoming team is looking for people who are able to make people feel welcome and at home. Although volunteers in the welcoming team are visibly active on Sundays, ministry continues during the week by follow up calls, emails and grabbing coffee or a meal together.
Fellowship
This committee is in charge of brainstorming and organizing fellowship events at New Covenant. Special holidays events, small group competitions and outings, and outreach events fall under the umbrella of this committee.
Social Justice
This ministry desires to bring restoration and redemption to the world's end. The committee connects New Covenant to humanitarian and social needs locally, domestically, and internationally, and tackles issues as poverty, the AIDS epidemic in Africa, relief to the elderly, and political injustice.
Imago
As people are made in God's image: emotions, creativity, and imagination are evidence of His character. What humanity has produced in arts, literature and thought express the image of God. As believers are to return the arts to the awareness of God by redeeming these in culture we seek people with a heart for the arts who desire to glorify God.
