Kenya Video
August 9th, 2009
Greetings from Kitale, Kenya. Kitale is the closest town to Cherangani Hills where the orphanage is. Right now, we're at "The Coffee Shop" which is a restaurant ran by an English woman. Each Sunday afternoon (right now), all the wazingu (plural form of "white man" or foriegner) meet up here. I've gotten to meet many other missionaries that are local to this area. Before I left, Janet and I joked about how this would be a good time for me to lose some weight. However, I may actually gain weight before returning... the food here is pretty darn awesome! ;-)
It's absolutely amazing here. I'm able to see God's hand at work. The missionaries Carla and Jeff (In-Step Foundation) have a great vision to not only transform and save lives, but also to transform the community, and--in the future--change Kenya. I'll fill you guys in on more details when we get back. So long for now!

Received news that the Kenya Missions Team arrived safely at Nairobi and met Missionary Choi. They will be travelling to Kitale in the morning. Please continue to pray for them.

From August 3-14th, 2009. We will be sending out a team of eight to Kenya to help out with Rehema Ministries and Rehema Prep school. Although this will be our first time serving in these locations, we have a friend who has been there twice who is also partnering and helping us prepare for the project.
